I am a lady aged 37 years…I am a very strong teamplayer, fast learner who is willing to learn at every opportunity i get.I am a hardworking individual who has always been able to work well when under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

In terms of educational qualifications,i have a Bachelor of Accounting Science degree with the University of South Africa and i am currently working towards my ACCA qualification.In terms of working experience i have been working in the finance sector for the past 8 years.I joined the NGO sector in the year 2012 as a finance intern and rose to the position of Finance Officer.

    FINANCE OFFICER

     Implementing financial policies and maintaining financial services in accordance with World Vision Financial Manual through proper review of local and forex payments documents and ensuring correct cost classification and allocation.  Ensuring that standard financial operating systems are in place when preparing and reviewing financial documents.  Preparation of financial documents and ledgers including the maintenance of the Sunsystem when posting Office transactions in the system.  Produce interim and final Debit Advice for onward transmission to FAOs, ADP Managers and other management staff  General Ledger reconciliation for onward transmission to Global Centre, after cost allocation to APDs and other cost centres and attend to queries thereon.  Produce consolidated funding forecasts for National Office and ADPs and review the reasonableness of forecast amounts.  Produce monthly FFR cover memo  Confirm received direct funding to relevant Support Office and attach relevant documentation  Creating Pre-approvals and process Settlement Advices (inter-company charges) and journal entries.  Reviewing National/program offices cash flow and advise accordingly on funding requirements.  Compiling and consolidating monthly funding requests and review funding status periodically  Preparing monthly exchange rates for the Office  Assisting in preparation of audit schedules  Reviewing bank reconciliations to ensure that errors or fraud committed on bank accounts are detected promptly. Reconciling issues picked in the bank reconciliations should be well documented and promptly resolved  Reviewing Journal Entries (LEN) on payments for completeness and accuracy of coding and general compliance with WV Field Finance Manual before processing PYR (Payment Run). Payments should be efficiently processed within set payments’ turnaround time  Ensuring that subgrantees have adequate internal controls to manage the IGATE DFID grant funding and assessing that subgrantees are on track with programme implementation through periodic support visits.  Receiving & checking for accuracy,completeness & allocability of payment vouchers to various grants  Coding all payment vouchers before effecting payments  Raising cheques for encashment upon completion of approval process  Managing accurate cashflows daily  Prepare monthly funding forecasts.  Ensuring safe custody of all security items  Facilitating internal and external audits  Managing filing and retrieval of Finance documents
